Tespen Robotics Inc. participated in the 8th Automotive Innovation Summit, hosted by KPMG in Santa Clara, California, on August 27, 2026. Founder and CEO Vittorio Dini presented the company’s approach to autonomous public transit during the Physical AI and autonomy session led by Plug and Play Mobility & Physical AI.

Tespen is developing Ugo, autonomous driving software and a retrofit kit for public transit buses. The company is starting with fixed routes and vehicles that operators already own. Ugo is currently in development in simulation, with hardware and road testing planned as subsequent steps.

“Robotaxis have captured much of the industry’s attention, for good reason and with extraordinary technological achievements.” said Vittorio Dini, Founder and CEO of Tespen Robotics Inc. “But public transit is the backbone of a city: it connects people to jobs, education and opportunity, and helps local economies grow. At Tespen, we’re building autonomous driving technology for the buses cities already run and our ambition is to help make that everyday service more reliable and accessible in cities across Europe and the United States. I’m grateful to KPMG and Plug and Play Mobility & Physical AI, BofA Securities, Skadden and Aon for bringing the summit together and for the opportunity to contribute to the discussion.”
